Minnesota Timberwolves 99 - Sacramento Kings 115

Guess what? With the 6pm tip-off yesterday's game was on early enough for me to watch live....being only 10pm here in the old country.

Pek was out. A recurring ankle problem (dammit!)......and that to me was absolutely crushing.Yet somehow, I believe that even the mental image of Minnesota Center was still enough to shut out DeMarcus Cousins in the first half! Yes that's zero, zip and a great big donut hole for "Big Cuz" at the intermission.

"Johnson" to the rescue.....Wes rises to the occasion.
On any other night his may have been a big plus mark for the Twolves defense but in truth DMC just sucked and the rest of his teammates were more than ready to take up the slack...alarmingly so....they didn't let his performance hurt the team.

The Timberwolves managed to achieve parity at the half which was as good as it got and flattered them.

Michael Beasley came out and gave it a go but is still obviously hobbled, as is JJ Barea who is clearly frustrated. In fact frustrations boiled over between he and K-Love during a particularly fractious fourth quarter huddle. Barea is seen to advance on a seated Love who has obviously said something to offend the diminutive PG...or maybe that's vice versa....or both. The two are kept apart by Luke Ridnour and Martell Webster....all very minor stuff.....but not the kind of message you should be sending out in public. Embarrassing to say the least.

The Kings blew us off the court and rather than trying to attribute blame to each other the Twolves players should be admitting collective culpability. I find it impossible to find one plus mark to be honest. Some of the shots being hoisted were nothing short of horrific and the defense was......well , it wasn't anything resembling defense, let's put it that way.

At the moment the Twolves are teetering on the abyss.

Please don't let things fall apart in Oakland....let's get this show back on the road.
