Minnesota Timberwolves 80 - Memphis Grizzlies 85

Okay I went out a limb yesterday predicting that we could pick off the Grizzlies on their home court.

We certainly could have if we'd turned up last night.

I don't buy the tiredness excuse....on this night we were just slightly more awful than them....and they were pretty awful.....the whole game, to be truthful, was rubbish.

Open shot, after open shot, after open shot...missed...Coach Adelman who still hasn't been able to get any kind of cohesive second unit or build any rotations emptied the bench in the 4th and we got Randolph, Ellington, Tolliver, Beasley and Barea...and the misses continued.

Now we all hear of Coaches telling their fringe players to "stay ready, your chance will come"....well no one except maybe JJ Barea could muster anything of note. Just about everyone had a "chuck" from downtown...Barea connected on three of six and Beasley notched the meaningless other as the regulation buzzer went....four out of nineteen (21%)

Derrick Williams started like a whirlwind then someone in the Memphis huddle must have said "Let the kid shoot," because he went to pieces...after scoring 9 in the first Q mostly on hard drives and put-backs he managed another 4 in the game and passed up open shots all around the key. Confidence?

Luke Ridnour 's shot/ game went awol last night...but I still love him....he's a good guy.

Pekovic and Rubio did, I will admit, look pretty tired...they've been carrying the load for a number of games. Pek managed to get Gasol and Haddadi into foul trouble but fortunately for Memphis they had Mareese Speights who could slide across and fill the gap in the middle, he had 15 rebounds....it was just hard work.....just to watch was hard work. Here are the bullets....

Darko needs to get off his arse and give Pek some help.

Michael Beasley didn't visit the foul line once...not once...I question that.

Martell Webster seems to be reading from a different script at the moment?

Tiredness.....Meh!.....just a crap game.

Back to 0.500....still doesn't sound so bad.

The size 19s are back on Friday....hoooooo!
