| Unicorn swishes for three!! |
The Clippers are undoubtedly still smarting from the K-Love buzzer beating three at this very venue only five short weeks ago. Since then the Clippers have lost Chauncey Billups to injury but have been able to reinstate their big off season addition, Chris Paul, into the starting line-up....that's an upgrade right there. This will be a very tough game, (as the last one was) but it is one that should hold no fear for the Twolves....they are every bit as good as the Clippers.....the secret however is that our Coach, Rick Adelman, is light years better than Vinnie Del Negro.
Plus K-Love is now a 3 point champion rather than just a "very good three point shooting big man"
Darko Milicic had an enormous game against Blake Griffin in the last encounter....this could be one area in which the Twolves have difficulty this evening....I say this because I don't believe that Love can guard Griffin and I doubt whether Pek has the speed or the athleticism...he does however possess strength and continues to build upon an ever increasing basketball IQ....it'll be interesting to see how this one pans out. I won't be surprised if Pek, having rested, is straining at the leash to get into the Clippers' bigs....they simply don't have anyone that can push him around.
What am I trying to say here? Not sure.......
As usual, lots of ifs and buts.....the only thing I can say for sure is WES will start.
You can't really take too much from the last game as regards this re-match...that would be folly...wipe the slate. Having had some very rough, scrappy, physical games before the All-Star break the Twolves will look forward to expressing themselves in Los Angeles....do you see a unicorn?
